I’m not one to toot my own horn, so to speak, but it would have been nice to receive a little credit from Linden Lab in their press release covering the Second Annual Relay For Life.

It’s not the first time that this has happened. Linden Lab also had a hand in the story about American Apparel opening up in SL, for which Aimee Weber received no credit.

It’s great that Linden Lab wants to get the word out about what you can do with their product. We want that too. But, in the future, it would make more people happy if you gave a little credit where it’s due. Remember that other people worked hard to make you guys look good. <3

We all know how hard you guys worked, if nothing else, and so does the ACS. They seem to gloss over a lot of details… Though rarely to their benefit. You’d think a little paragraph here or there about the devoted and diverse community in SL would be something worth including.

We know what we did, and we know that the community knows, but wouldn’t it be nice if we could send our families a link to that article to show them what we created and inspired others to create?

To my parents, who will never understand Second Life, the information in the article is neat at best–most likely incomprehensible to them. For them to see my name there would mean much more.

Oh man…not only did they not give credit to all those they should have, they portrayed my team as being the designers of the custom dominus. How many times was it stated that the car is by Francis Chung with the custom work done by Spider Mandala? I had an idea for a custom car, Fran and Spider worked on it, and my team auctioned it. *sigh*

Mary, why did you credit Truman for that quote?

A lot of people deserve credit for the SL third anniversary, and I cannot thank them enough for it. Credit where it’s due, they did the hard yards.

But yes, you should have gotten credit in the Press Release for the SL RfL, if only so that you could pass the love on down the line.

It’s an important courtesy.
